MAB Environment & Ecology Ltd specialises in ecology reports for planning applications. Primary services include Biodiversity Net Gain Reports, BREEAM Ecology Reports, Environmental Impact Assessments (EcIA), Preliminary Ecological Assessment (PEA) Reports, botanical vegetation surveying (UK Habs, NVC and Phase 1 Habitat Surveys).
This includes a large number of bat and other European Protected Species surveys and licences (badgers, barn owls, great-crested newts, otters, water voles).
MAB Ecology is an independent consultancy, based in Yorkshire, registered with the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and the Society for the Environment. We have been trading since 2000. We offer a bespoke service which has been appreciated over the last 18 years by many local estates, land owners and developers. Our services are reliable, professional and discreet. We have obtained over 110 protected species licences for developers.
Although our primary work area is Northern England and Yorkshire, we have taken on contracts all over England and Wales, from Anglesey to Kent.
The range of our recent client base work includes consultancy for public bodies such North York Moors National Park Authority, National Trust, The Church Commissioners, NHS Trusts, City of York Council, North Yorkshire County Council. Major developers such as Turner Townsend plc, Interserve plc. Larger private clients include Savills, Castle Howard Estate, Newby Hall Estate, The Co-op, Hambleton District Council.
